Once you make it past the Waiting Room on the second floor of the east side of the Police Station in Resident Evil 2 things are going to start getting interesting when it comes to the different puzzles that are being thrown at you and the rewards that you’ll get for completing them. Once such puzzle is the statue puzzle in the Art Room.
When you examine the statue initially you’ll see that it is missing an arm and has a scepter in its hand with a large red jewel. This statue puzzle will be one part of completing the requirements to unlock the S.T.A.R.S. Armory and getting the USB Dongle/S.T.A.R.S. Badge.
To start the Statue Puzzle you’re going to want to grab the Red Book that is on the desk in the Library. Once you’ve got the book you can take that back over to the Art Room. You will then need to combine the arm and the book and then place that single item onto the statue. When you do you will see the other arm turn and release the scepter to you.
Taking the scepter you can then examine the item and remove the jewel. This big red jewel will be used with a box from the Observation Room to unlock the aforementioned badge and gain access to the S.T.A.R.S. Armory.
